Stella Aldo
Stella Actis Aldo attended the University of Michigan School of Music and has a bachelor of music in Voice Performance. Born in Detroit and raised in Warren, music has always been central in her way of life. From taking classical guitar lessons to performing the role of Maria in Warren Woods High School production of the Sound of Music, the arts was always a passion for her. Her father had his own band in northern Italy where he sang and played the accordion. Following her father’s footsteps, Stella has owned and operated her band, Intrigue since its inception in 1983. Stella is one of the lead vocalists and Master of Ceremonies of INTRIGUE, and also manages/handles the bookings. She provides the finest service with her meticulous attention to detail and great concern for the success of each event. INTRIGUE has been the opening act for Richard Marx, Laura Brannigan, Bruce Hornsby, Brantford Marsalis, Aaron Neville, John Secada, Go West, Dave Koz, Darryl Hall, Eddie Mony, the Spinners, Kool & The Gang, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, the Contours, and the Coasters. Intrigue was honored to provide music for The Three Tenors, Luciano Pavartotti, Princess Caroline and the Monte Carlo Ballet for Michigan Opera Theatre.
Stella also has an extensive background in voice-overs, TV/film, and the international Auto show industry. She has been in films such as Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Lincoln Lawyer, You Don’t Know Jack and commercials for Ford Excursion, AAA, and Comcast Cable. In the Auto show circuit she worked for Mazda & Lexus. She worked as a Product Specialist/Narrator for Lexus from 1993-2000 and for Mazda from 2000-2006.
In her free time, Stella loves to spend time with her family & friends, work on charity events, travel the world, and watch the newest romantic comedy. She feels blessed to have been able to sustain a successful career of over 40 years in the music industry.

Denise Stubbs
Lead SingerDenise Stubbs has been singing with the band Intrigue for over 30 years. A Detroit native, she started her music journey singing gospel in her church choir. She went to Knoxville College on a four year music scholarship receiving a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at Knoxville she was Miss Knoxville, later after college featured in Ebony Magazine. After college she went on to have a record deal with RCA Records and won the WDIV Detroit Gimme the Mic! Ms. Stubbs is versed in all genres and in her free time you’ll find her playing slot machines at the casino and hanging out with her family and friends.
Eddie Key Bullard
Lead SingerEddie Key Bullard started singing professionally at the age of 14. He has had professional recordings out, shared the stage and performed shows with legendary artists: Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Roberta Flack, Patti Austin, Jeffrey Osborne, Earl Klugh, Peabody Bryson, & always gives a hundred percent every time he is on stage.
CRISTINA ACTIS-ALDO earned her degree from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. She started studying music by taking violin lessons with Anna Weller then in her later years with Juilliard graduate and America's Got Talent contestant Sonia Lee.
She began her dance career at Deborah’s Stage Door and then danced competitively for ten years at Gotta Dance studio. Before attending Oakland University, she studied jazz piano/voice with Scott Gwinnell.
At OU, Cristina was greatly involved in all aspects of the music department: University Chorus, Chorale, Opera, Symphony Chorus, and the Golden Grizzly Jazz Singers. She was a finalist in the Concerto Competition, and was a part of the Midwest Premiere of Will Healy's Noctuary for Adé with Pamela Klena's Symphonic Band. The official studio recording voice of Candy in Dave Nettleman's musical comedy Gearheads as well as Grace in the live action 2024 premiere. She has studied voice with Stella Actis-Aldo, Aaron Caruso, Athena Johnson, Stephanie Michaels, John-Paul White, and Alta Boover. She is an excellent crossover artist skilled in varying genres.

Mark Heckert
Pianist/Music Director/Sound EngineerMark Heckert was born and raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He started his music career playing in bands at 13 years old, when his mom used to pick him up from football practice and drive him to band rehearsal. Formally he attended Wayne State University studying music education. A pianist, singer, producer, song writer, sound engineer and videographer. He has played with many bands during his career, but had the special opportunity with the rock group ALLIANCE to open up for: The Beach Boys, Guess Who, LoverBoy, and Rick Springfield. Mark began his position as music director and right hand man to Stella Aldo for INTRIGUE in 1983. With a passion for Rock and Funk, he is versed in every genre. From playing sacred organ for wedding ceremonies (At the Vatican in Rome!) to even singing in Italian and Spanish. In his recording studio DIGISCORE PRODUCTIONS, he produces: TV commercials, voice overs, industrial films, and musicians local and national. One of Mark's favorite memories is touring on the SSA Norway & SSA Sky in the Carribean, North Sea, and Trans Atlantic crossing for the inaugural celebrations in NYC for the Norwegian Cruise Line. When he’s not performing, working in his studio, or on a video job, he's spending time with his family/friends, working out, or fueling his carpentry abilities.
Scott Posada
GuitaristScott Posada is a guitarist, educator, and music entrepreneur with a degree from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he studied under David Tronzo. His musical journey began with the School of Rock, where he learned and performed under the guidance of Jackson Smith, developing a passion for rock performance and collaboration from an early age.
Today, Scott is a co-owner of Rock and Roll Prep School, a vibrant music academy dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians through private lessons, live performance programs, and music production. Drawing from his professional education and real-world experience, Scott blends technical mastery with creative guidance, helping students build confidence, stage presence, and a lifelong love of music.
Paul started playing piano at a very young age. He was able to read music before he could read a book. His mother, a piano player and entertainer that worked with some of the biggest names in show business at the time, began teaching Paul how to play piano and read music when he was just 4 years old. Paul took classical piano lessons for 11 years, and under-graduate music theory classes prior to his professional music career that spans over 40 years. Paul is experienced in all types of music including, classic rock, Top 40, light jazz, country, disco, Motown, and the standards. Paul has also played for his church for the last 12 years, playing Sunday morning services and weddings. Through the years Paul has played with Detroit’s most successful bands, playing on stage with musicians from Michael Jackson’s band, as well as being on tour opening for Loverboy, The Guess Who, and other nationally acclaimed acts.
Paul operated his own business in the 80’s developing software applications for the new breed of digital synthesizers that were coming out at the time. He sold his programs all over the world. Most notably, Paul worked personally with Stevie Wonder configuring and setting up a new keyboard Stevie had just acquired. Paul is also a professional audio-video engineer and has designed sound systems for auditoriums, football fields, and night clubs. Most recently, Paul designed and engineered the sound system for the IMB baseball league’s newest 5,000-seat stadium, Jimmy John’s Baseball Park in Utica, MI.

Davey “Bones” Lazar
Trombonist/Intrigue Horn Section LeaderDavey is a retired Automotive Engineer from Chrysler. He is a graduate of both Michigan State University (Agricultural Engineer) and Lawrence Institute of Technology (Mechanical Engineer).
In addition to Intrigue, Davey is lead trombonist with: The TNT Dance Band, The Shamrock Jazz Orchestra, The Couriers, Orchestraction (Windsor) and his own band, “Davey Bones & The Bow Wows!” He also enjoys playing in pit orchestras in support of local thespian societies.
Davey’s most notable performances: Performed in many travel gigs with Alto Reed, Mark Farner, Dave Mason, Mitch Ryder, and The Contours. He also performed with The Funk Brothers to open the Detroit Jazz Festival.
Brian Romeo
SaxophonistBrian Romeo is a seasoned saxophonist known for his dynamic sound, stylistic versatility, and deep roots in jazz and popular music. A native of metro Detroit, Brian holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from Wayne State University, where he honed his skills as a performer and improviser.
Over the course of his career, Brian has shared the stage with some of the most iconic names in music, including Aretha Franklin, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Four Tops, Frankie Avalon, Frankie Valli, and Brett Eldredge. He has also toured with The Temptations, bringing classic Motown sound to audiences across the country.
In addition to his work with national acts, Brian remains an active and in-demand performer throughout the Detroit music scene. He can be heard with a variety of local bands, lending his expressive tone and sharp musical instincts to everything from jazz and funk to pop and soul. Whether in the studio or on stage, Brian Romeo brings professionalism, passion, and a lifetime of musical experience to every performance.
Andrew Brown is a young up and coming musician, composer, producer and educator, who recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University. Hailing from Dearborn, Michigan, Andrew grew up in the rich music scene of the Detroit area, being a part of Orchestra Hall’s Civic Youth Jazz program, and MSU’s Spartan Youth Jazz band. Through these programs he received mentorship from artists like Kris Johnson, Vincent Chandler, Marcus Elliot, and Rayce Biggs, inspiring him to pursue jazz in college.
Still only 22, Andrew has already had the opportunity to play, tour, and record with jazz greats like Renee Rosnes, Jazzmeia Horn, Walter Blanding, Michael Dease, Marquis Hill, Stefon Harris, Geoffrey Keezer, Carmen Bradford, Dan Wilson, Camille Thurman, Ryan Keberle, Bobby Floyd, Rodney Whitaker, James Carter, and many more. Most recently, Andrew was named a finalist for not only the 2025 National Trumpet Competition, but the 2025 International Trumpet Competition jazz division. Andrew currently teaches K-8 music at Holly Park Academy in Lansing, MI.
