ABOUT INTRIGUE

INTRIGUE is regarded as one of the finest bands having been listed in Conde Nast Bride Magazine in the Top 150 Bands in the Nation and The KNOT Best of Weddings Pick. INTRIGUE'S versatility is featured in their wide array of their repertoire ranging from contemporary top 40 to big band - swing, Motown, oldies, disco, Latin, standards, classic rock, classical, sacred, hip-hop, ethnic selections in Italian, Spanish, French, Hebrew and beautiful duets performed by Stella Actis Aldo and Mark Bucchare.

INTRIGUE is an exciting and entertaining musical show featuring female lead vocalist & emcee Stella Actis Aldo, a University of Michigan School of Music graduate, who has owned and operated the group since its inception in 1983. Denise Stubbs WDIV "Give Me the Mike" winner, in her twentieth year with the band energizes each song with her soulful and gospel background. Mark Bucchare, Kevin Carter, Mark Heckert, Rick Swiecki, and Vito Lafata magnify the group's versatility with their male vocals. Mark Bucchare mesmerizes the audience with his incredible range and vocal agility. The rhythm section, under the musical direction of Mark Heckert, who is the pianist and arranger, is complimented with the multi talented Kevin Carter on guitar, Vito Lafata on electric and classical guitar, mandolin, sitar and ukulele, Rick Swiecki on drums, Mark Bucchare on congas, Chris Kaercher on saxophone, flute, harmonica, and claves, Ric Wolkins on trumpet, and Tony Buccilli on trombone. Each individual radiates personality and outstanding talent. Together as a group, they are simply incredible.

High profile engagements include the 2011 Michigan Gubernatorial Inaugural Ball for Governor Rick Snyder at the Wharton Center in East Lansing, Michigan on January 1, 2011, a wedding at St. Peter's Basilica and the reception at Villa Miani in Rome, Italy, Super Bowl XL for Direct TV, Pavarotti Farewell Opera Ball at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the reception of H.S.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover and her ballet company, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo at the Detroit Athletic Club, "The Three Tenors" rehearsal afterglow at the Detroit Opera House, Detroit's Mayor's Office, Under the Stars Ball for the Detroit Institute of Art, Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall, Indianapolis Museum of Art Ming Dynasty Exhibit Gala, and Marine Military Academy Fund Raiser at the residence of Denise and Robert Lutz. Bob Lutz was the Chairman for General Motors North America.

INTRIGUE provided music for St. Joseph Mercy Holiday Ball, The Event on Main for Mott Children & Women's Hospital, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Medallion Ball, Oakwood Foundation Red Tie Ball at Joe Louis Arena, Pricewaterhousecoopers at the Fox Theatre, General Motors as well as, the Children's Center for the Detroit International Auto Show Black Tie Charity Night, Karmanos Cancer Benefit at Ford Field, St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Sparrow Foundation in Lansing, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Toledo Opera Sapphire Ball, Nordstrom Grand Opening at the Mall at Partridge Creek & Customer Loyalty Events, "Revvin with Ford" concerts in Birmingham for the Woodward Dream Cruise, Arts du Jour at Somerset Collection, Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke in Detroit and Chicago, and Quixtar in Nashville along with the Temptations. Additionally, INTRIGUE performed in Europe and in New York City for inaugural and press events for Norwegian Cruise Line's "The Sky", as well as on the "S.S. Norway" in the Caribbean for Sports Illustrated. The band has appearances at the Motor City Casino and MGM Grand Casino.

INTRIGUE has been the opening act for the Richard Marx, Laura Brannigan, Bruce Hornsby, Brantford Marsalis, Aaron Neville, John Secada, Go West, Dave Koz, Darryl Hall, Eddie Mony, the Spinners, Kool & The Gang, K.C. & the Sunshine Band, the Contours, and the Coasters.
